About Us

The Underfunded Film Festival is a not-for-profit film festival established in 2013 to promote independent filmmakers and encourage them to produce high-quality, professional films on limited budgets. We believe that high-quality films don’t necessarily require massive Hollywood budgets. Additionally, all of the proceeds from the festival go to A Child’s Hope Foundation, a charity that gives aid to orphanages in places like Mexico and Haiti. Many of the organizers of this film festival have participated in volunteer service trips to Mexico with A Child’s Hope Foundation and wish to aid in helping children in need around the world.

The Underfunded Film Festival is principally sponsored by Underfunded Film Production Rentals (UFP Rentals), a film equipment rental company based in Pleasant Grove, Utah. UFP Rentals was established as a small side business in 2008 but has since grown greatly in size. UFP Rentals prides itself in offering professional yet affordable gear to film productions both large and small. All revenues to the company are used to purchase more gear and expand inventory.
